Sneakermood Interview
Today, we have the pleasure of conversing with Joël, the founder of Sneakermood. With a deep-rooted passion for sneakers and a keen eye for developments in the sneaker industry, we delve deeper into Sneakermood and the market from founder Joël’s perspective.
How did your fascination with sneakers begin, and when did you realize it was more than just an interest?
Sneakers, we’re really going back to the elementary school days, playing street football on the playground. You needed good sneakers for that, and if possible, they had to be somewhat fashionable. Then you come home, and your mother is dissatisfied with the condition of those “new sneakers”. For me, it was important to have good sneakers. Through acquaintances, I came across someone who showed me the Air Yeezy 1 Tan. I was blown away, and soon I immersed myself in which models were available in the Netherlands, but that ended in disappointment. We’re talking about the year 2009, and soon there were more Air Yeezys, and of course, the Air Yeezy 2 Red October. I was looking for something cheaper; the prices for those models quickly soared towards €2000+. For me, it started with Air Max BW, Asics Gel Lyte 3 or 4, and Adidas Ultra Boost. The Adidas Ultra Boost, along with the Adidas NMD, were highly hyped from 2015 to 2019. Every model went for resale, and on top of that, there were exclusive collaborations with sneaker boutiques like SNS and Solebox. Every time, I missed out on a release. What inspired you to found SneakerMood, and how did the idea come about?
Each time I saw a cool sneaker release from Adidas, I had no luck. The bots and in-store raffles weren’t accessible to me because I lived in a village. Everything had to happen online. This led me to the idea of creating a website to solve this problem. After a few months of research and reaching out to affiliate partners, I had my blog website up and running in 2015, named SneakerMood. It was super simple, but mainly aimed to inspire and inform people about when a particular sneaker was being released. The specifications of the model were explained, as well as collaborations with various sneaker retailers. This was a success; not only did the channel grow quickly on Instagram, but visitors from all over the world found SneakerMood for all their release information needs.
The name SneakerMood already hints at it – being in the mood for sneakers. The concept and execution were there, although at that time, there was no ChatGPT to write beautiful blogs, and Canva wasn’t around either. I spent a lot of time putting together a comprehensive blog with good text. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time left after my studies. I started working, which was at Klek’t in Cologne, a startup known for its sneaker marketplace concept. Here, I gained a lot of experience, from the models themselves to the entire sneaker scene, including events like Sneakerness both locally and internationally.
The blog was put on hold, and I continued solely on Instagram. Not long after, I decided to stop altogether. However, my passion for sneakers never faded, and that name SneakerMood stuck with me. Combining my experience from Klek’t and my passion gave me the motivation to set up a website with zero experience in online software and tools. I just thought, “Why not give it a try?” This was always alongside my 40-hour workweek, but it turned out to be a success with yearly growth.
Could you share some notable highlights of SneakerMood since its beginning?
It’s exciting to mention that as a startup founder, you’re thrilled with the first orders through your own website. Customers have found you, giving you the affirmation that you’ve done something right. However, let’s be honest, with just a few orders per month, you can’t sustain yourself. You have website costs, time invested, and material expenses. The motivation to do better was there, and soon I started offering multiple models. After all, I have connections with resellers and parties that can supply both me and the customers. My SEO ranking positions kept improving, and my old visitors from the SneakerMood blog also found their way to the website.
In summary, the journey to various milestones has made it enjoyable. This includes the Sneakerness events with WOOVIN, achieving the first 100 orders per month, the first collaboration, and giveaways.
What challenges have you encountered in building SneakerMood, and how did you overcome them?
As the founder of SneakerMood, I’m also employed at another company. This makes planning, growth, and focus challenging. Time is crucial; of course, orders need to be packed, and administration must be done meticulously. At the same time, you want to be present on social media, and the product range must remain constantly relevant, which also involves inventory risks. Some models may not sell as expected, or perhaps I was too late to jump on a trend. All these points are part of the learning process. As the business grows, certain activities can be outsourced. Additionally, innovative software solutions can be a remedy, such as chatbots, payment solutions, and return management software.
Could you tell me about your own sneaker collection and what makes it special to you?
Currently, I have around 30 to 40 pairs of sneakers in my collection. I must say, I regularly wear about 15 to 20 pairs, depending on the season. A sneaker collection is very personal, and tastes vary, which I find fascinating. My collection started, as I mentioned, with Asics and Adidas Ultra Boost, purely for comfort, but over time, I’ve also started wearing and buying more Air Max 1s. It all began with the Air Max 1 Watermelon from 2018. One sneaker that has always stuck with me is the Air Max 1 Omega Pack Black Yellow. I wore these back in 2010 and managed to score a pair two years ago via Vinted. Whether it’s comfort, nostalgia, or cool color combinations, these elements make it enjoyable for me to add a new sneaker to my collection. However, I’ll add a small disclaimer that I don’t really buy new sneakers often anymore. This is partly because, as a seller, I deal with new models every day and end up seeing them too often. To summarize my collection: Air Max 1s, Adidas Ultra Boost/NMD, and various other models like AM97s, New Balance x Patta, and Nike Sacai.
What is your view on the evolution of the sneaker resell market and how do you think it will develop in the future?
Nice question, as a seller of exclusive sneakers you have to be on the platform of your target group every day. Trends and hype releases determine the market together with the brands that enter into a collaboration. Popular models can now be seen again in the form of classics such as the Adidas Samba, but also last year’s Air Max 1. These models are therefore released in large quantities, which is less interesting for sellers. Yet I believe that buyers themselves also want a bit of exclusivity, after all, you don’t want the sneakers that everyone is wearing. The buyer will therefore always look for something exclusive. The resell market is very accessible and more and more companies in the shopping street are showing this. Nowadays you also see many clothing stores that want to appeal to a specific target group by means of exclusive sneakers in their window and the exclusive segment in general is also popular. Think of Louis Vuitton sneakers and clothing and limited sneakers are a nice addition.
What are your personal goals and ambitions regarding SneakerMood and how do you hope to achieve them?
With SneakerMood I want more interaction with our existing and new customers, we do this as much as possible by being present at a sneaker event such as Sneakerness. I hope to expand this later in the year by creating fun content on Social Media. So that followers or potential customers can really gain inspiration. In addition, just grow with our range and cool new sneakers in our webshop.
What does the ideal future of SneakerMood look like for you?
The coolest and widest range of exclusive sneakers. That SneakerMood is known among Dutch people and beyond. I personally want to devote even more time to SneakerMood. In addition, I am always open to fun new concepts, remaining unique is important. This is of course also for all readers of this blog!
What kind of projects does SneakerMood have in the pipeline that we can hear more about soon?
I want to start a loyalty program for our regular customers. They can expect something fun from us this year. Most customers are loyal to a certain model or brand, so I want to respond more to that through a bit of personalization / email marketing. In terms of other agenda: Of course Sneakerness Amsterdam in May 2024 & hopefully a great collaboration with a larger Brand!

Sneaker trends to look out for this February
Every year, several sneaker trends come and go, and it’s always fun predicting what trends we will see next. With a busy month of releases ahead of us, here are a couple of our picks for the most exciting trends and events this February!
Valentine’s Day sneakers.
These days, February 14th is more than just a day for couples, it’s a highlight in the sneaker calendar as every brand tries to cash in on partners searching for romantic gifts for each other. And what better gift for a fellow sneaker lover than a pair of valentines themed kicks?! This year, we will see multiple Valentine’s themed Nike Dunk Lows. As well as a Nike Air Force 1 Low decked in red and white fluffy fabric. These new models will be available via our WOOVIN site alongside Valentine’s offerings of years past. For example, the women’s exclusive Jordan 1 Mid take on the theme from 2022.
Basketball sneakers
Whilst basketball sneakers are still dominating the retro market, it’s been a decade since performance basketball sneakers where top dogs. But, with the all-star game coming up, and sneaker brands with a couple of basketball-themed aces up their sleeve, we could see a fanfare around basketball sneakers this month that will be a welcome change. The highlight is the return of the Nike KD 4 , a beloved sneaker from 2011, in a classic “Galaxy” colorway. Few colorways touch the cultural impact of the Galaxy design. Most notably on the Nike Air Foamposite which inspired Nike’s designs for the 2012 All-Star Game. 12 years later, Nike’s top offering will be a retro of the Nike KD 4 “Galaxy.” A release that is sure to fetch high prices, in a similar vein to how retros of early Kobes did. Speaking of which, a new Kobe 8 Protro is also releasing this month. Making February a big month for Basketball sneaker fans.
The continuation of the platformed UGG and the non-sneaker
Uggs, specifically the UGG Tazz Slipper, have hit the sneaker world by storm over the past year. An impressive feat given they’re technically not sneakers. Its platformed sole adds an elevated look that particularly attracted wearers, something UGG has noticed and implemented on new styles. They recently released the Ultra Mini Platform Boot and platformed Mule trainer. Whilst the trend may not survive the summer, it will surely be a popular fixture throughout the spring months.
Furthermore, Crocs are also set for a big month, with their open-aired offerings returning after the winter weather. Two big collaborations this month, in the form of Naruto Shippuden and SpongeBob SquarePants, continue Crocs’ success. Particularly thanks to their ability not to take themselves too seriously. Bringing big franchises with their own fans to a universally loved model making a strong comeback is a winning formula. Especially with the attention to detail on the Classic Clogs, even down to the Jibbitz (the swappable rubber pieces that fit into the Clog’s ventilation holes.)
A full-size guide for the Adidas Campus 00
Long after theirinitial popularity after appearing on the feet of the Beastie Boyz, the adidas Campus is back. But its latest iteration is much chunkier than the 80s Campus silhouette, fitting in more with other Y2K sneakers. Debuting in 2022, the new Adidas Campus 00 silhouette is great for everyone from skateboarders to casual sneaker fans alike. Rocking the chunkier look, whilst still decked out in vintage, soft pastel colors. But if you have never owned a pair, it can be tricky to find out which size will fit best. That’s why we’re here to let you know all the details about the sneaker sizing in one place.
How the sneaker fits
First, it is important to acknowledge that everyone’s feet are different and the way a sneaker fits one person, may not match up with another person’s experience. However, here’s some general guidance regarding how the sneaker fits to help you figure out what will suit you best.
Adidas has listed the Campus as fitting true to size, and for the most part, this seems to hold true. The sneaker has a snug fit and may feel tight at first, particularly due to the padded ankle and tongue. Especially if you are used to previous, sleeker versions of the Adidas Campus, this may come as a surprise. However, don’t fear. After a couple of wears, the suede upper should break in, and the sneaker will begin to loosen up, molding to the shape of your foot. Once broken in, the sneaker’s upper is extremely comfortable, like a pillow around your feet. So, we recommend for the most part staying true to size, to maximize this snug feeling. Moreover, some have reported heel slippage on the model when going up half a size from their true size. Plus, the insole is removable, so if you need some extra wiggle room, wear the sneakers without it. That said, if your true size is not available, we recommend going up half a size rather than down. A padded sneaker such as this can feel suffocating and too tight if trying to slip into a smaller model. Besides, a thick pair of socks can solve most problems if going half a size up causes a looser fit.
The sneakers width
The model has a narrow toe box but is relatively wide around the rest of the foot and is suitable for people with a high instep once the laces are loosened. Thanks to the sneaker’s steep angle from the toe box, up to the tongue. Therefore, unless your toes are particularly splayed, we recommend staying true to size, even with wide feet. If the opposite case is true, i.e. having a narrower foot, the sneakers are similarly suitable. Whilst perhaps worth dropping a size if particularly narrow, to keep the snug feeling, the sneaker is good at accommodating different foot shapes once broken in. Moreover, a tightening of the laces should be enough for most wearers.

Our top 3 winter kicks that have just dropped on WOOVIN.
It’s officially the holiday season! As many of us prepare for Christmas or take shelter from the snow or the cold winter weather, the sneakerheads among us are excited for another reason. Traditionally, December is a time of lots of amazing sneaker offerings, and this year has been no different. We’ve picked out three models, already available to buy and sell through our WOOVIN site. All of which stand out to us as early highlights of this winter season.
Jordan 11 Retro DMP Gratitude (2023)
There is no better way to start this list than with this year’s Air Jordan 11 offering. For context, every December, Jordan releases a single Air Jordan 11 High, one of the most popular Air Jordan models. It is regularly the highlight of the year for sneakerheads and Jordan fans alike. This year, the colorway in question is the “Gratitude” Air Jordan 11. First releasing in 2006, the sneakers were part of the Defining Moments pack. The sneaker was a take on the famous “Concord” colorway, which Jordan wore on his way to his 4th championship. However, with added golden details to signify his winning achievement. 17 years later, and 3 years after the other Jordan from the Defining Moments pack got a retro, the Jordan 11 Retro DMP Gratitude has finally hit shelves.

Adidas Fear of God Athletics 1 Basketball Carbon
Having announced their partnership with Jerry Lorenzo in December of 2023, Adidas has finally released their Fear of God collection. A significant figure in the popularization of athleisure, Lorenzo’s latest collection follows a similar theme. But the star of the show is the new Adidas Fear of God Athletics 1 Basketball sneaker. Currently available in a Carbon finish, the sneaker will likely be released in more colorways further down the line. The model’s basketball functionality alongside its stylish silhouette opens itself up to two different markets. And its futuristic design, albeit different from current trends, could be a sign of what’s to come. Especially after the popularity of Fear of God’s Nike collaboration, seeing their initial work with Adidas is no small deal. And to finally have the chance to get the product in our hands is a great feeling.

Nike SB Dunk Low TIGHTBOOTH
For a while now, the Nike SB Dunk has been touted as the next style to fade out. But, whilst the sneaker’s hype has settled since the start of the decade, the Dunk is still here. A perfect example of this is Nike’s latest offering in collaboration with TIGHTBOOTH. A popular Japanese Fashion label. Significant given the popularity of skating in Japan, as well as their skating success, most recently with Yuto Horigome. The model takes inspiration from the night time, with white paneling, featuring a hatched pattern, layered over a black upper. Other notable detailing includes a reflective Nike Swoosh, a dotted pattern on the tongue and orange TIGHTBOOTH branding on the heel of the sneaker and its insole.

Three upcoming sneakers to get excited about before Christmas.
With Christmas fast approaching, brands ramp up their output in time for the spending season. Within all the chaos of Christmas shopping, sometimes some awesome releases can slip through the cracks. But we’ve filtered our feed down to the three sneakers to look out for over the coming week.
Nike Air Alpha Force 88 SP Billie Eilish Fire Red
Hit singer with a cult following, Billie Eilish, is teaming up again with Nike to promote her love of bulky retro sneakers that have come to be synonymous with her aesthetic. After releasing two more traditional colorways in August, Eilish is returning this holiday season with a new Nike Alpha Force, this time coming in a striking “Fire red” colorway. Not a sneaker younger fans will be well aware of, the Alpha Force first debuted in 1988. It’s even been worn by Michael Jordan once between the release of the Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 3. The silhouette is known for its mid-foot strap and its bulky design, a sign of its late 80s release date. But now the model is being reborn in a more fashion-conscious manner. The once high-performance basketball model is no longer seen in such light. Rather, the sneaker has been embraced by the California native singer, taking it from the court to the main stage.

Air Jordan 3 Midnight Navy
Although bearing a resemblance to many classic Air Jordan 3 colorways, the latest Air Jordan 3 Midnight Navy is a brand-new design using the Air Jordan 3 Fire Red’s iconic colorblocking and replacing the red detailing for navy accents. Iconic elephant print decks out the mudguard and the heel counter, whilst perforated grey leather is present on the bottom half of the tongue and underneath the eyelets. Creating a subtle but stylish silhouette that would work well in almost any outfit. Especially with the Air Jordan 11 “Gratitude” release dominating headlines, these Air Jordan 3s are slipping under the radar. But an Air Jordan 3, especially given its thick padding, is always a great option for the winter months.

New Balance 580 Levi’s
Last, but not least, long-time collaborators, New Balance, and Levi’s, have teamed up again to continue their hot streak. This time tasked with updating the New Balance MT580, a sneaker which made a strong comeback over the last year. Two new colorways are hitting shelves this week, both featuring Levi’s denim on the toe box and the collar. Alongside this is an otherwise neutral color upper, with bright highlights dotted around the sneaker. The effect is a fashionable everyday sneaker with an outdoorsy aesthetic. This is a result of its Marin County mountains inspiration, and its present mountain biking culture.

Where to get them?
Nike and New Balance’s offerings have already hit shelves, and Jordan’s new release will be with us soon enough on WOOVIN.
The TMNT x Adidas Superstar is a perfect collector’s item.
People collect all kinds of things, but some of the most popular collectibles are sneakers and action figurines. Some of the most fashionable figurines were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The comic sensations turned animated film and movie stars. Relevant for kids and adults alike for the last four decades, and hot off of a box office success animated movie, the brand is a popular commodity. All of this adds up to make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sneaker a perfect collaboration. Especially as a way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our favorite reptilian warriors.
Image: adidas
The sneaker – adidas Superstar
The sneaker in question is the Adidas Superstar and is covered in a green tumbled leather upper. Red highlights are present on the stripes and the face mask-shaped deubre. Making reference to Rafael, the sai-wielding ninja turtle. The laces and the adidas and TMNT tongue branding are white, matching the white midsole, although the laces come with a red and blue alternative. Otherwise, the lining comes in a dark green and, on the bottom, a gum outsole finishes the look. At the front and center, however, is the rubber cap on the front of the sneaker. Which is where the Superstar gets its “Shelltoe” name. Switching up its traditional pattern for a turtle shell hexagonal pattern painted white. Creating a look that we like to call the “Heroes in a half shell-toe.”
What is so amazing about the model is that on the surface, its references to the TMNT franchise is minimal. They’re hidden, like easter eggs, around the sneaker. For instance, the insole is designed to mimic the pizza slices the turtles famously love. And, if the insole is pulled out, beneath is a graphic of a sewer cap. Under which the turtles from the comics would live.
Moreover, the blister packaging further references the collectible nature of the product. Both as a sneaker and as some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles merchandise. Resembling the traditional action figure box than a traditional sneaker box. The cardboard base is also covered in a TMNT comic strip. Referencing the heroes’ comic background and adding to the retro aesthetic.

Our thoughts about the adidas Superstar
Perfect for the 80s and 90s kids who would’ve grown up with the Turtles, either in comic or animated form. What’s most impressive is how the collaboration pays clear attention to detail whilst keeping the silhouette wearable. Not too much is going on at surface level. It’s only when you take a closer look, you realize the extent to which Adidas has taken the TMNT theme.
When it will release
Although we have so far only received pictures of a single colorway, we are expecting several pairs to release. Potentially highlighting the colors of the other turtles, given that the pair we have seen references Rafael. Although there’s no word of an official release, Complex has unveiled internal Adidas documents suggesting a February 2024 release. With more colorways coming further down the line.
Since when was the Adidas Campus one of the most popular sneakers in 2023?
The last few years in sneakers have been wild. Since the pandemic, we have seen the dominance of the Nike Dunk and the chunky basketball sneaker. The Adidas Forum and the New Balance 550 close behind riding this wave. There has been a return to comfy fashion as well, in the form of casually rocking running shoes, again benefitting New Balance as well as Asics. But also seeing the return of slides and Crocs. More recently, however, we have seen terrace culture bring back Adidas classics like the Samba. But, slowly growing in popularity has been a much more unassuming silhouette: the Adidas Campus 00s.
What is it?
The Adidas Campus’ history shares a lot with the better-known Adidas Superstar. Releasing in the ’70s, first as a basketball sneaker. But it was the sneaker’s association with hip-hop fashion that gave the model new life. Especially after landing on the cover of the Beastie Boys 1992 album, “Check Your Head.” Its bulky style also lent itself very well to skateboarding. Then, after a couple of decades of bubbling under the surface, the model is officially back in mainstream consciousness. At the moment, it is one of WOOVIN‘s best-selling silhouettes. Partially thanks to its relative affordability and availability in several muted colors.
Image: Afew Store
Why is the adidas campus so popular?
The Campus seems to be back for a mix of reasons. With Y2K fashion back and skate style popular at the moment, the chunky fit of the Adidas Campus works with many of today’s trends. However, the rise in popularity of Adidas Originals like the Adidas Gazelle and Samba also stands to benefit the Campus. Which rocks a similar look with a chunkier silhouette.
It is also worth noting the high-profile collaborations with the Adidas Campus, surely boosting its popularity even further. Bad Bunny is not only one of the biggest artists in the world but also one of Adidas’ most successful regular collaborators. Originally helping to bring back the Adidas Forum, and boost the popularity of the Response CL. The Puerto Rican singer has now set his sights on the Adidas Campus. He released his take on the model in olive, cream and, most recently, brown. His soft color palette and sleek design have brought the model into a futuristic lane. Whereas the recent Adidas collaboration with Korn brings the Campus back to 90s and 2000s fashion. Dressed in black and white, the sneakers stand out detail is its chunky white laces, which add to the oversized feel of the sneaker. These collaborations emphasize what’s so special about the Campus: its versatility. One campus colorway fits perfectly with the styles of today, whereas another can cater to the nostalgia of the past.
The Adidas Campus is available in a vast and growing number of colorways now at WOOVIN. Get yourself a pair from verified sellers at competitive prices.

The three new Nike Dunks making waves on WOOVIN.
The Nike Dunk, an iconic silhouette, was first introduced in 1985 as a basketball sneaker. But a remake of the model to the specifications of skateboarders in the 2000s gave it new life. Then at the start of the 2020s, we saw a third coming of the Nike Dunk. Although popular for the last couple of years, the focus was put on newer sneakers, or brands more recently revitalized. However, the Nike Dunk and SB Dunk still remain relevant more than halfway through 2023. Maybe due to the continued attention Nike has been showing it, or the reputation that precedes it. Take a look at three new takes on the classic silhouette released recently.
Image: Nike
Nike SB Dunk High Supreme Rammellzee
Starting strong, the Nike SB Dunk High Supreme Rammellzee released alongside another just as impressive low-cut version. However, since the other two dunks on this list are low-cut, we’ve chosen to highlight the hightops. Supreme has a long history with Nike Dunks. Becoming the first brand to collaborate on a Nike SB Dunk 21 years ago. Ever since, the two brands have enjoyed a strong and successful relationship.
This time, Supreme has repainted the Nike SB Dunk with the works of late artist Rammellzee, a fellow New Yorker, to give the otherwise sail upper pops of color across the silhouette. His bright style and the collaged look give the sneaker a retro feel. Which, in our opinion, is reminiscent of the popular Nike SB Dunk Paris.Image: Yankee Kicks
Nike SB Dunk Low Born x Raised One Block At A Time
Born x Raised has teamed up again with Nike to remix the Nike SB Dunk, this time with more immaculate storytelling. The sneaker features a blue and white silhouette, with cross-shaped ventilation holes on the toe, and a holographic swoosh running down each side. The most striking detail on the sneaker however is “One Block At A Time” embroidered across the shoes’ mudguards. This is paired with the quote “on the turf” written on the sneaker’s tongue. Sewing together a homage to the LA Skate and Street Culture that Born x Raised was founded.
Image: Yankee Kicks
Nike SB Dunk Low Yuto Horiogome
Last on our list, it is potentially the least showy of the three. But no less important. The Nike SB Dunk Low was made in collaboration with Yuto Horigome, one of the best street skaters in the world and a proud Nike athlete. The shoe therefore sees the Nike Dunk return to the world of skateboarders. Expanding on the legacies of the likes of Paul Rodriguez, Danny Supa, and many more skaters through the years. The sneaker rocks a white and grey colorway, with hits of salmon pink, khaki, and maroon. A crossed feather design is stamped onto the lateral side of the heel, designed by Japanese artist Verdy. The sneakers come together to pay homage to Horigome’s local skate park and the city where he grew up: Tokyo.

Cactus Plant Flea Market with a crazy new addition to their roster.
After a short break since their last sneaker appearance, longtime collaborators Cactus Plant Flea Market and Nike are back again. However, this time they are taking on their own design to create something utterly bonkers.
After proving themselves with their previous works, it looks like Nike has allowed CPFM to go wild with their own silhouette for their next collaboration, not utilizing them on the more traditional and better-selling models like their countless Nike Dunk releases. With this freedom, the streetwear brand has picked out the Nike Air Flea 2.
Image: Nike
The sneaker
Their version will feature a thick blue neoprene upper, with a black rubber sole stretching around the bottom of the upper. Two straps lock the feet in place and a huge adjustable sail swoosh covers the length of the sneaker. Little knobs cover the entire sneaker whereby the swoosh can be attached alongside other attachments that come with the sneaker. Other fun details include joint branding on the tongue and bright hits of yellow, red, green and navy on the sneakers branding. While huge “L” and “R” markings on the insole mockingly connote which sneaker is for the left or right foot. Lastly, the bottom of the sole has a glow-in-the-dark foot pattern. Alongside this colorful release, we are also expecting a black and sail pair to hit stores at the same time. Both pairs are coming in specialized boxes and with added spider, Nike and Cactus Plant Flea Market attachments.
They sneakers were discreetly advertised on stage at Rolling Loud Miami, by Franz Lyons, Turnstile’s bassist. However, they were more explicitly revealed through a Claymation ad that featured LeBron James alongside other Nike athletes. Whilst the ad isn’t your typical Nike campaign, it takes a very experimental and downright confusing approach. Its number of cameos, even if the celebrities are technically just clay versions, grabbed our attention. Since then, both rappers Lil Yachty and Kid Cudi have come out in adoration of the new model. With the latter even snapping pics wearing the black and white pair.
Image: Nike
Our thoughts
After proving itself time and time again, CPFM has taken its greatest risk yet. And that says something, since their last sneakers came with grassy fur covering the entire upper. This is the first time their bold antics don’t rely on a famous model as a canvas. Instead, being entirely the creation of CPFM. The result encapsulates the crazy, bulky and oversized nature of current sneaker trends, taking it to the extreme. While adding some customization options, reminiscent of Crocs‘ infamous Jibbitz, which will only add to the sneaker’s popularity.
Three cultures come together in the spirit of football for one sneaker.

Dutch sneaker store, Patta, and American giants, Nike, are collaborating again on another Air Max, after the success of their previous collaborations. But this time, rather than offering a completely unique take, Patta is taking inspiration from LaLiga powerhouse Barcelona to help decorate their latest offering. Here’s what we know about the Nike Air Max Plus x Patta x Barcelona so far.
The sneaker
Choosing to honor FC Barcelona’s famous colors, the sneaker comes in a mesh upper, dressed in a garnet and blue gradient, while the TPU exoskeleton is painted black. The mudguard, laces, heel and tongue tabs are also black, and garnet and blue ticks feature on the midfoot. Reflective 3M accents scale the length of the sneaker for an extra flash. The colorful upper is paired with a simpler white and black midsole, save for the gradient returning on the shank plate. And the Air bubbles have a dark red lining for an extra pop of color. Otherwise, the sneaker features a unique Barcelona doubré on the bottom of the laces, and yellow and black Patta branding on the tongue and heel.
Where the sneaker pays homage to Barcelona fans is with the writing on the insole. Reading out “Culers del Mon.” Culers is the nickname for Barcelona’s fans, and del mon means “of the world” in Barcelona’s native Catalan language. The sneaker references the global fanbase of Barcelona, a nice touch given the sneakers’ release in collaboration with Dutch and American brands.

Our thoughts about the Nike Air Max Patta Barcelona
This idea could have been performed on any Nike sneaker, so why did they choose the Nike Air Max Plus? Well, two clear reasons come to mind. Firstly, this year celebrates the 25th anniversary of the iconic silhouette, making the perfect time for it to receive some love from longtime Air Max aficionados, Patta: a brand that has also noted the rich history of Dutch managers at Barcelona and the number of players from Amsterdam who would go on to play for Barcelona.
Moreover, the Air Max Plus, hot off a football-themed “Mercurial” colorways release, has a history that is heavily intertwined with football. Although originally designed as a running sneaker, it quickly became more popular for everyday use, particularly as a sneaker of choice to wear to football games in the UK. Casuals, a name for football fans known for their unique fashion-sense, taking a liking to the sneaker not only makes it fitting for a football-themed collaboration but also makes the timing of such a collaboration relevant, as football fashion, now often referred to as “Bloke-core” online, has seen quite the resurgence. Models like the Adidas Samba and Puma Palermo which were also common fixtures on game day saw a boost in popularity.
When will the Air Max Patta Barcelona release?
The Nike Air Max Plus x Patta x Barcelona will be released soon on October 13th, alongside new Patta x Nike x Barcelona FC clothing. After that, they will become available to buy and sell right here at WOOVIN.

You will never guess which silhouette is coming back!
A sneaker that was once one of the best-selling sneakers in the world is returning, and it’s caught all of us by surprise. A sign of the time in which it was made, the Nike Roshe was an extremely successful silhouette during the early 2010s before being discontinued by Nike and fading away into a memory. But Nike looks set to reintroduce the model, in an attempt to recreate the popularity it held with its original release.
The shoe.
Looking to come back to its original form, the model will feature a breathable mesh upper, with a simplistic piece design. A TPU Nike swoosh can be found on the sides of the shoe, and the upper sits atop a plush foam outsole. Otherwise, rope laces and tags on the heel and tongue finish off the minimalistic silhouette. Although different versions were released including a FlyKnit version, whether any more than the standard pair will release is yet to be seen.
Image: Sneaker News
What we know.
Although a golf version of the Nike Roshe has continued to stay in production, this will be the first lifestyle Roshe has had for some time. After unsuccessful attempts to translate the hype around the Nike Roshe to the following Nike Roshe One and Two silhouettes. After this, the Roshe seemed to be succeeded by other minimalist Nike models such as the Nike Tanjun. That said, rumors are of an autumn release of the sneakers, but any other details are up in the air. Once the sneakers will become available on WOOVIN to buy and sell once they see a release.
Our thoughts.
Although it can be hard to look back and fully remember how popular the Roshe was because of the speed at which it disappeared. The sneakers were everywhere, from the fanciest retail spaces to the local foot locker. Everyone had seen the sneakers, and if you didn’t have a pair of your own, you at least knew five people who did. They were so popular in fact that Kanye West has even cited them as inspiration for his Adidas Yeezy Boost 350. Sporting a similar silhouette, West wanted to replace Nike’s top model at the time now he had left the Swoosh for Adidas.
What was unique about the Nike Roshe was the number of colorways they were released in, to meet demand. Causing a wave of colorful sneakers that were much more vibrant than the more toned-down colorways that are popular nowadays. Moreover, its running shoe silhouette and minimalist design are reminiscent of the early 2010s and the following trends. Think back to the Adidas Ultraboosts and the Adidas NMDS, and the prevailing popularity of running shoes or at least running-inspired lifestyle silhouettes. It will be interesting to see upon the return of the Nike Roshe, whether such a silhouette, can thrive in 2023, and whether it does so off of nostalgia. Or if it can find a new group of younger sneakerheads who maybe weren’t around to appreciate the sneaker’s original release.
Dissecting the CLOT x Nike “What The” Dunk
Image: Nike
Edison Chen, Kevin Poon and their Hong Kong based streetwear brand, CLOT have worked with Nike for the best part of two decades now. They’ve produced a number of collaborative releases that have drummed immense hype around the brand. However, it looks like their partnership will soon come to a close, as CLOT seems set to start collaborating with Nike’s competitor, Adidas. Before the two part ways, however, they are reuniting one last time to create the CLOT x Nike “What The” Dunk. A sneaker that will pay homage to the past CLOT x Nike releases.
The sneaker
The sneakers will come in a mismatched design. The right shoe comes in predominantly black, grey and white, whilst the left one features some warmer pink and beige hues. The sneakers sport a number of different materials across each panel, with details of CLOT and Nike’s many different collaborations: from their Jordan 13 Retro Low CLOT Sepia Stone to their Silk Air Force and Chinese New Year Air Max. Coming together to make an eclectic pair of sneakers, filled with all the nostalgia a sneakerhead will ever need.
Image: Nike
Our thoughts
This is not the first time Nike have released a “What The” sneaker, or even a “What The” Dunk. A popular way of referencing multiple successful sneakers, this has been a common method to drum up hype off the back of past popular releases. As well as create a wild silhouette that stands out thanks to its mix of different patterns across the sneaker. This is not the first time this method has been used on a collaborative release either; popular skateboarder and long time collaborator, Paul Rodriguez, often known as P-Rod, released the Nike SB Dunk Low What The Paul to pay homage to his previous sneaker releases.
We find that it is these kinds of releases that work best. Since the sneaker’s referencing of past models makes up the identity of a “What The” sneaker, public sentiment all but relies on how they feel about the sneakers that the new silhouette references. Say, for instance, when Nike has tried to bring the Nike “What The” idea over to their basketball models, referencing more obscure colorways. Their releases were met with a much milder response, and a sentiment that the “What The” idea had been shoe-horned (no pun intended) in where it didn’t belong. However, the Clot x Nike “What The” Dunk makes much more sense. Using the idea as a creative way to commemorate the history between the two brands and acting as a closing of a 17 year-long chapter, which we have all keenly enjoyed
When will they release?
At this point, we are yet to get an official release date for the sneakers, but expect them to pop up potentially near the end of summer. Once they do, they will become available to buy from verified sellers on our WOOVIN site
What you need to know about the Jordan 1 Retro High UNC Toe
Image: Sneaker News
Another month, another Air Jordan 1 . But, when you feel like your love of a certain model is fading, Air Jordan pulls you in with another stunning silhouette. We introduce you to the Air Jordan 1 Retro High UNC Toe. This takes collegiate colors originally saved for other basketball models – like the Nike Dunk – and applies them to Michael Jordan’s most recognizable silhouette. Especially after the movie Air immortalized the story of this sneaker’s creation earlier this year, this release is set to be nothing short of brilliant.
The sneaker
The sneaker comes in a white leather base, with black detailing on the paneling across the sneaker. University blue covers the toe panel and is present around the heel, featuring the same color blocking as the famous Jordan 1 Retro High Black Toe. University blue is also present on the tongue tag whilst the wings logo on the collar of the sneaker is dressed in black. The upper is paired with a white midsole and a university blue outsole.

The Significance of UNC to Jordan
The UNC colorway, inspired by the colors of the University of North Carolina’s school colors, is a classic choice for the Jordan brand these days. Particularly since this was the college Michael Jordan attended for 3 years between 1981 and 1984. What’s interesting is that back then Jordan would actually wear Adidas, as this was before his extremely lucrative deal with Nike was signed before his first season. These days, however, the University of North Carolina is officially sponsored by Jordan Brand. Meaning that current Tar Heel stars rock the latest Jordan silhouettes, and Jordan has access to officially licensed UNC colorways. Such as this latest Air Jordan 1.
Image: Sneaker News
Our thoughts
This is by no means the first time University Blue has appeared on an Air Jordan 1 in reference to Jordan’s Alma Mater. But often these renditions have been on a low-cut version or with other themes mixed in. This is therefore one of the cleanest and most straightforward university editions of the Air Jordan 1 – reminiscent of the UNC versions of other Jordans, like the Air Jordan 3, that have been released since Jordan started sponsoring the University.
It takes a lot to get extremely excited about a Jordan 1 release in 2023. Not because we are any less in love with the sneakers but they release so frequently that, if a colorway isn’t perfect, you know you can hold on until their next release. This UNC pair, however, is the kind of colorway you wait for. With its traditional color blocking and light blue UNC highlights complementing the silhouette so perfectly, it’s hard not to be a fan of this sneaker.
Image: Sneaker News
When will the shoe release?
Although a release date is yet to be officially confirmed, official photos of the sneaker have been released, meaning the sneaker release is only shortly around the corner. That said, you can most likely expect the Jordan 1 Retro High UNC Toes to be released on July 22nd at the height of the summer. After which, it will become available to buy and sell here on WOOVIN.

Four Air Max 1’s available now on WOOVIN
Image: Sneaker News
The Nike Air Max 1, originally released in 1987, was the first Nike sneaker to visibly display its Air cushioning technology. A risky move that had many critics within Nike before its release, once it finally reached the public, all doubt went away. Now one of the most popular and timeless silhouettes in history, the Nike Air Max 1 is a great sneaker to add to any collection. So, without further ado, we have compiled 4 of our favorite Air Max 1s available now on our WOOVIN site.
Nike Air Max 1 Corduroy Baltic Blue
A beautiful sneaker that is perfect for the summer, the Nike Air Max 1 Corduroy Baltic Blue takes the once-performance model in a very lifestyle-focused direction. Although the Nike Air Max 1 has its origins as a running shoe, it quickly became casual sneaker wearers’ footwear of choice, especially thanks to the bubble on the midsole adding an aesthetic element that separated the shoe from any other at the time. This pair reflects this change in its choice to forgo any performance-focused materials on the upper and, instead, cover the shoe in a bright blue corduroy. Whilst beige accents on the swoosh and tongue tab add a subtle contrast.
Image: WOEI
Nike Air Max 1 ’86 Big Bubble Sport Red
The most recent Air Max 1 to feature on this list, the Nike Air Max 1 ’86 Big Bubble Sport Red released this year on Air Max Day. A yearly event celebrating anything and everything air max related, it takes place on March 26th, the date the Air Max 1 was first released in ’87. This pair in particular pays homage to the Air Max 1’s creation, taking inspiration from an early mockup of the Air Max 1 that got beaten out by the design we know today. This version differs in its larger “bubble” in the midsole which exposes the Air unit present in the heel of the sneaker. Otherwise, the sneaker comes in a clean white and grey colorway, with red hits on the swoosh and mudguard that wrap around the base of the upper.
Image: Sneakermood
Nike Air Max 1 Kasina Won-Ang Orange
Released last year, this collaboration between Korean sneaker boutique Kasina and Nike pays homage to Korean culture with its “Won-Ang” theme. “Won-Ang” are Mandarin “Wedding ducks” which used to be bought for a partner in South Korea before they got married. Citing the ducks’ lifelong mating pattern reminiscent of humans, even though real ducks aren’t bought for partners anymore, wooden ducks are often given for the same reason. Otherwise, the sneaker features several interesting materials, from a suede mudguard to a leather toe, and wooden deubre on the bottom of the laces. The fur on the midfoot connects the sneaker to its duck theme, alongside a duck motif on the outsole, heel tag and insole.

Nike Air Max 1 Patta Waves Noise Aqua
Last but not least, the Nike Air Max 1 Patta Waves Noise Aqua was one of the first of a run of Patta x Nike Air Max 1s to hit shelves. Its unique wave design taking over the bottom of the upper gives the shoe an entirely new look, whilst the rest of the silhouette remains true to the original design. We have picked out the Noise Aqua colorway for its light upper and midsole, alongside a striking aqua blue wave pattern. What’s more, the pair comes with a free bracelet featuring a Nike swoosh and the Suriname flag, referencing the Patta founders’ Surinamese heritage.

Everything you need to know about the Jordan 1 Retro High Washed Heritage
Image: Kicks On Fire
Three things in life are guaranteed: death, taxes, and Air Jordan 1’s being popular. Around once a month, a new Jordan 1 Retro High releases. And every time they do, it’s big news. The release of the Jordan 1 Retro High OG Washed Heritage is shaping up to be no different. Here’s everything you need to know about its release.
The sneaker
The sneaker’s upper is dressed in a faded grey suede, with white leather panels underneath, mimicking the color blocking of the Jordan 1 Retro High Chicago. A lighter grey suede is situated on the collar, whilst black detailing is present on the lining and the outsole. The outsole comes in a faded sail color, alongside red detailing on the tongue tab and insole as the only hits of color.
Image: Kicks On Fire
Our thoughts
Tapping into the worn aesthetic on this Jordan, the shoe mimics trends over the last few years whereby people have personally worn down their shoes, so they don’t look fresh out of the box. Jordan recognized their choice by releasing the Jordan 1 Retro High OG Lost and Found colorway last year. Instead of just using white, red, and black, they colored the midsole and tongue in a faint sail color, to mimic the yellowing that occurs naturally on Jordans over time. Although fitting a similar aesthetic, this Jordan goes about it more uniquely. As well as using a yellowed sole, the upper distressed suede also adds to the worn-in feel of the shoe.
Using suede as the primary material on a Jordan 1 is a big decision in itself as, famously, the shoe almost always has an-all leather construction. Occasionally a mid or low cut of the model features some nubuck, but on an Air Jordan 1 High this is rare. This pair comes only a couple of months after the Jordan 1 Retro High OG Washed Pink which was a women’s exclusive but featured identical color blocking and washed suede detailing. And even before that, the first shoe to feature this kind of look was the Jordan 1 Retro High Turbo Green, which was released back in 2019. However, whilst these pairs offered brighter silhouettes thanks to their primarily pink or blue designs, Jordan’s latest offering has more of a subtle look, making it both easier to work into an outfit and more suitable for everyday use. This pair will also be the first Jordan to feature a washed suede look in full sizing since the turbo green pair four years ago, giving fans of the original plenty of time before bringing back the washed concept.

When will it release?

J Balvin’s next project with Jordan has been unveiled
Image: Sole Collector
Colombian Reggaeton artist J Balvin has been a mainstay in his field for the best part of a decade now. But has become a household name worldwide over the last couple of years, thanks to his smash hits and his appearance during the Super Bowl halftime show in 2020. There, he unveiled his first collaboration with Air Jordan on feet. Three years later, we have seen for the first time what the artist’s third sneaker will look like.
The sneaker
Reportedly inspired by the sunsets in Medellin, where J Balvin grew up, the sneaker comes mostly in a sail color upper. Matched with a gradient representing the sunset around the heel on the midsole and on the heel tab. The gradient starts with a dark purple, before fading into pink and then into a vivid yellow. Otherwise, on the sneaker, some light grey detailing is present on the elephant print and around the middle eyelets, and yellow detailing is present on the exposed ends of the leather panelling as well as on the eyelets. These details add up to create an aged look, juxtaposing the pops of color on the heel.
Image: Sole Collector
Some background context
This comes only a year after J Balvin’s last sneaker. Working his way through the Air Jordan models, he initially collaborated on a Jordan 1 Retro High in 2020 before taking on the Jordan 2 in 2022 and now the Jordan 3. Each sneaker has its own aesthetic, with the Jordan 1 Retro High J Balvin featuring a rainbow pattern on the upper alongside a jagged finish on the upper paneling. The Jordan 2 Retro J Balvin, however, had a less bright – but just as bold – design, covered almost entirely in a light blue. Taking inspiration from clouds, the upper featured extra padding as well as glow-in-the-dark details on the tongue and outsole. Now, the artist seems to return to a more colorful design but integrated into the sneaker more subtly for a more casual sneaker.
Alongside J Balvin and his work with Jordan Brand, fellow Latin artist and frequent collaborator Bad Bunny has also seen considerable success in sneakers. Working with Adidas, Bad Bunny helped bring back the Adidas Forum in 2021 and has since worked on his own Adidas Response Cl Bad Bunny, as well as the Adidas Campus Bad Bunny. All of these have been a bright spot in Adidas’ line-up, at a time when their Yeezy line has come to an abrupt end and Beyonce’s Ivy Park line has ended by mutual agreement. Furthermore, Rosalia has played an increasing role in sneaker marketing campaigns for Nike over the last few years. If anyone was questioning the ability of Latin artists to market sneakers worldwide, they aren’t anymore.Image: Sole Collector
What you need to know
In terms of the Jordan 3 Retro J Balvin, the sneakers are expected to release on September 2nd, coming in at the end of summer with their cool vibe. Once released, expect the sneakers to be available to buy and sell here at WOOVIN
The hotly anticipated return of Yeezys is finally here!
Image: Yeezy Mafia
After Ye and Adidas parted ways at the end of last year, a large question mark was put over the future of Yeezy. The first collaborative project with a brand and a talent to legitimately rival Air Jordan, Yeezy has had the sneaker game in a chokehold over the last decade. And with its future potentially up in the air, Adidas has taken a large hit.
What you need to know
However, we have finally got word that Adidas and Ye have agreed on terms with which to sell the remaining $1 billion of Yeezy stock Adidas has been sitting on. In an attempt to minimize losses, especially after a period of struggle which has also seen Adidas mutually agree to part ways with Beyonce earlier this year. The terms of the deal under which the Yeezys will return is a 15% commission going to Ye West, whilst part of the proceeds will be donated to charities fighting racism and anti-semitism, to address how the deal originally broke down back in October of last year.
Image: Sneaker News
In terms of pairs releasing once again before this summer, it’s been confirmed we will be getting quite the range. From the extremely popular Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate Black that was first released in 2015. To the Yeezy Foam RNNR and Yeezy Slide which headlined last year’s wave of slip-on sneakers. As well as this, we are anticipating the return of the often-re-stocked Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra, as well as the Yeezy 500 Utility Black. Otherwise, the Yeezy Boost 380, the Yeezy 450, and Yeezy 700 will all feature, as well as some other colorways of popular models like the Yeezy 350 V2.
The future is still murky for Adidas and Ye’s partnership. Whilst they have agreed to come together to sell their current stock, whether any more Yeezys will make it to production is yet to be seen. At the start of the year, it was rumored Yeezys would continue to be released, as Adidas held the rights to the models, just without the Yeezy branding. This sparked a debate over whether the same products would be able to capture the same hype without West’s participation. But for now, the products on sale will still feature Yeezy branding, hence the need for getting West onboard with their sale.

When will they be available?
The Yeezy sneakers will finally return on the 31st of May, they are now available to buy and sell on WOOVIN. Check out our stock of Yeezys available on our platform now!

Teyana Taylor’s latest sneaker will soon be with us
Image: Sneaker Bar Detroit
Musician, actress and dancer Teyana Taylor has announced she has a new sneaker releasing, and it’s picking up a lot of buzz. Ten years after her first sneaker, Teyana Taylor’s name still attracts a buzz in the space. Since the Jordan 1 High Zoom Air CMFT 2 Teyana Taylor A Rose From Harlem (W) releases soon, we are bursting to find out more about its release.
The sneaker
The sneaker will come in a white leather base upper with red leather detailing on the panels. The laces are orange-yellow, and the heel tab comes in a darker reddish-brown hue. The most important parts of the sneakers, however, are the swooshes. Sporting mismatched swooshes, the left pair features an oversized swoosh with exposed stitching, very reminiscent of the swooshes we saw on the Jordan 1 Retro High Off-White Chicago. The right pair, however, features a red embroidered swoosh and green thorns coming off of it. Referencing the sneaker colorway “A ROSE from Harlem” name. Potentially the most interesting detail of the sneaker is perhaps the least visible, featuring Formula 23 foam in the midsole rather than the sneaker’s traditional rubber sole. In doing so, this offers a more comfortable sole to a 38-year-old sneaker.
Image: Sneaker Bar Detroit
Some context
Like many collaborators these days, Taylor’s most famous for her musical exploits, originally bursting on the scene thanks to her appearance on MTV, signing to The Neptunes record label, and working on the choreography for Beyonce’s “Ring the Alarm” music video. Since then, she has had a highly successful R&B career under Kanye West’s G.O.O.D music label, capping it off in 2020 with her album, “The Album.” In terms of acting: she had a main role in Coming 2 America, and will soon feature in the new White Men Can’t Jump remake. But we are particularly interested right now in Taylor’s return to the sneaker game.
We say return because this is not the first time she’s got involved in making her sneaker. Back in 2013, she made her first pair of sneakers with Adidas – designing the Adidas Originals Harlem GLC, which sold out extremely quickly.
Then in 2017, she took her talents to the (at the time) Adidas-owned Reebok, where she became an official Reebok brand ambassador, taking part in releasing her pairs of Reebok Freestyles and her own Reebok Question Mid.
However, back in 2020, Jordan Brand went public with their partnership with Teyana Taylor when they had her feature in their campaign for their Flight Utility collection. And only three years later, Taylor finally received the honor of creating her own Air Jordan 1. A huge moment, especially for such a big sneakerhead.

Salehe Bembury and Crocs have teamed up again in time for the summer
Image: Sneaker News
After their successful first collaboration together, Salehe Bembury and Crocs have teamed up once more to create a brand-new product. Perfect for summer, their brightly colored slides will be ideal for lounging around or trips to the beach.
What are they?
The slides will come in the same one-piece foam construction as Bembury’s Pollex clogs, as well as also featuring the same fingerprint mold – a running theme throughout his work, which has come to be somewhat of a logo or signature detail for the designer. The model will debut in a “citrus milk” colorway, which looks to be a pastel-colored shade of Orange. However, we imagine we will see the slides in a number of colorways over the coming years. Especially since last month, Bembury agreed to extend his deal with Crocs another two years as their “Pollex Creative Director.”
Image: Sneaker News
Some background
This comes after the highly successful Crocs Pollex Clog by Salehe Bembury, which was originally released in 2021 but then continued to release in several bright colorways throughout the last few years. During this time, Bembury has also worked with a number of other brands, namely New Balance. His long-standing collaborations have cemented his place in the sneaker game and the star power his name can bring. As well as juggling his own brand, the “BEASPUNGE” brand, and his creative director duties for the Uninterrupted clothing line. Bembury has had a busy couple of years.
But Crocs as a whole has seen a massive boost in recent years. From collaborations with Justin Bieber and Post Malone to celebrities like LeBron James donning the footwear. They have returned to popularity, particularly with the younger generation. And Crocs have made every attempt to capitalize on this, announcing in 2021 that they are aiming for $5 billion in yearly sales by 2026. The continued partnership with Salehe Bembury seems to be a continuation of their keenness to remain in the public eye as part of popular culture.
Choosing to pivot to a slide for their next partnership is only natural for Crocs, since they are known for their easy, loose-fitting footwear. Focused primarily on comfort, no one goes to Crocs for high-performance running sneakers. It’s the go-to for a comfy pair of shoes to slip on to complete everyday tasks. Therefore, after Salehe Bembury created an updated take on the clog, it makes sense to pivot to using the same technology on Croc’s other main product, their slides.
Image: Sneaker News
When will they release?
The Crocs Pollex Slide by Salehe Bembury will release its first “Citrus Milk” colorway on May 25th. After which it will become available to buy and sell here at WOOVIN. Until then, check our site for Bembury’s past releases, including a selection of the Crocs Pollex Clog by Salehe Bembury.
Nike could be bringing the Mac Attack with two huge collaborations
Image: Sneaker Freaker
A cult classic that will hit sneakerheads of a certain age with a wave of nostalgia, the Nike Mac Attack looks to be back in town soon. Originally released in 1984, and soon to celebrate its 40th anniversary, this is the first time the model will get a retro release. But, as Nike gets ready to bring back the silhouette, it’s bringing some hype to the model with two major collaborations. The details of which are still very up in the air, but it’s already got us talking. Here’s everything we know so far.
Image: Complex
The Nike Mac Attack Social Status
Firstly, in March, we got word of the Nike Mac Attack releasing in collaboration with Social Status. Shown off by NBA star P.J. Tucker, three colorways of the collaboration are expected to release in vintage sail and white uppers. The colorways are differentiated by different pops of color on the swoosh, collar, heel and outsole. One pair will come with blue accents, another in black, and the third pair in green. Each colored part of the sneakers, however, features tear-away uppers, revealing a separate colour underneath the original styling. For example, the green pair can be worn down to reveal orange detailing underneath. This creates plenty of opportunities to customize the sneakers to your own taste, or some encouragement to rock your kicks.
Image: Complex
The Nike Mac Attack Travis Scott
However, that’s not all Nike has in store as, recently, Travis Scott was spotted wearing his own pair of Nike Mac Attacks. This comes after he was seen in a pair of Mac Attacks in 2021, establishing his appreciation for the sneaker. Not only would the star wearing the sneaker again instantly attract our attention but its reverse swoosh across the side of the silhouette marked it out as a Travis Scott original. Taking the classic grey and black colorway – which will get its own separate release – and changing the traditionally yellow checkered Nike tag on the tongue for a checkered one that reuses the black and grey color scheme of the sneaker.
Image: Sneaker Bar Detroit
When will they release?
The Nike Mac Attack Social Status was originally expected to release this May but, with no further updates, expect the sneakers to drop sometime at the start of summer. As for the Travis Scott pair, we have no word that the sneakers will get a public release, with it potentially being exclusive, since it features few stylistic changes other than the reversed swoosh. But we shouldn’t give up hope completely, if it follows the pattern of his previous releases, we should get a Travis Scott Mac Attack in hands by the end of the year. Once either sneaker releases, stay tuned to WOOVIN , where they will be available to buy and sell for the best prices
Spiderman is getting another take on the Jordan 1 this summer
Image: Sneaker News
Once again, with the return of Miles Morales’ Spider-man, Jordan has unveiled a brand-new sneaker to release alongside the film. This comes after the success of a similar tactic for “Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.” Where the specially made Jordan 1s were a massive hit with fans of sneakers and the Marvel Universe alike.
The sneakers
This new sneaker is reminiscent of the Jordan 1 Chicago since that’s what Miles wore in the first film. We are yet to see quite how the sneakers appear in the sequel. However, their brief inclusion in its trailer suggests that they will be present once again. However, rather than just releasing the Air Jordan 1 Chicago as it is, the red panels are made up of sewed-together pieces of red leather and suede, with different red patterns. For example, a red half-tone design is used around the collar. In doing so, the sneaker has an almost fragmented look, reminiscent of the comic art style from the movies. But also, representing the convergence of different “spiderverses” within the film. Otherwise, the black detailing seems to come in patent leather. Not only adding another material into the fray, but also adding some shine to the sneaker. Jordan’s infamous wings logo is present in a bold red on the ankle, with a subtle 3D effect.
Image: Sneaker News
The back story
In Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, we were introduced to Miles Morales, a teenage boy from Brooklyn, New York. He, too, gets his powers from being bitten by a spider and becomes another Spidermen in the Marvel Universe. The film paid particular attention to showcasing the interests a young boy from New York might have to make the character realistic and relatable. One of the ways they did that was through the film’s hip-hop heavy soundtrack. But, also, through Miles Morales’ kicks. Throughout the film, he is seen rocking a pair of unlaced Jordan 1 Retro Chicago’s – a detail that went down particularly well with the sneakerheads among Marvel’s huge audience.
Image: Sneaker News
Hence the excitement when a Jordan 1 Retro High Spider-Man Origin Story was released to accompany the film’s debut. We have seen all kinds of superhero and comic-inspired sneakers in the past. But never on the Jordan 1, a sneaker that doesn’t need collaboration to sell out its stock. So, when Marvel teamed up with the Jordan 1 Retro, it created pandemonium.
Five years later, we are once again anticipating a Jordan 1 Retro to release alongside “Spiderman: Across the Spider verse.” Since images of the sneaker surfaced in late 2022, it’s been tipped as a potential sneaker of the year candidate. Now there’s nothing left to do other than count down the days.
The Jordan 1 High OG Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse will finally release on the 20th of May. Shortly afterwards, it will become available to buy and sell here at WOOVIN.

Union is offering a new take on the Air Jordan 1 with a new collaborator
Image: Sole Retriever
Union LA is back, continuing their long-running collaboration with Nike, returning to give the Air Jordan 1 a new look. However, rather than continuing down the same path the first Air Jordan 1s followed, the model has a new twist. Surfacing online recently, the pair has also been revealed to be a collaboration with another brand, Bephies Beauty Supply.
What you need to know
The first Jordan 1 Retro High Union Los Angeles collection was released back in 2018 to much acclaim. Released at a point where the Air Jordan 1s were the most sought-after sneakers, the sneakers ended up fetching prices well over €1,000, as well as making it onto many people’s sneaker of the year lists. The sneakers featured typical Jordan 1 color blocking, although with added stitching around the collar, above which the colorways change, along with the laces which also change mid-lace to a brand-new color scheme.
Not ditching the original design completely, Union’s latest Jordan 1 still seems to feature added stitching around the collar. This time with a blue thread. However, the entire silhouette rocks the same colors. The sneaker is dressed in a white and light grey leather upper. And yellow detailing is present on the exposed edges of the leather frame. Darker grey detailing is present on the swoosh and on the collar, and the laces are dark yellow. Whether the sneakers will release with another two lace options like Jordan 1s typically do is yet to be seen. The upper is then paired with a sail sole for an aged look, which matches the upper’s sail tongue. Up to this point, the model’s colorway resembles the Jordan 1 Retro AJKO Low SP Union.
Image: Sole Retriever
The defining detail of the model however is the woven pattern which runs down the length of the sneaker. In doing so, splitting the top half of the upper from the rest of the sneaker. Whilst we have seen entire woven sneakers from Nike in the past, never have we seen a woven pattern incorporated into a sneaker like this.
So, we know about Union and their history, especially regarding their sneakers, but who is Bephies Beauty Supply? They’re a streetwear brand based in LA, also running an online store focussed on promoting women of color within fashion. The brand made headlines last year after collaborating with Jordan Brand to re-imagine the Air Jordan 7. But their collaboration with Union for their latest Jordan seems to be a family affair, as Bephies Beauty Supply founder Beth Birkett owns Union LA with her husband Chris Gibbs, who operates the store.

When will the sneakers release?
Still some distance away, you can expect the Jordan 1 Retro High Union Los Angeles x Bephies Beauty Supply to release sometime during summer, likely in August. Whilst we’ve only got eyes on the one colorway for now, it is undisclosed whether there’s more to come. Upon release, the sneakers will become available to buy and sell here at WOOVIN. And, until then, find previous Union releases on our site now.

Why the Adidas Humanrace Samba “Colors by Pharrell” Collection spells the return of the Adidas Samba
Image: Sneaker News
The Adidas Samba has been slowly but surely regaining mainstream attention, thanks to new fashion trends as well as Adidas’ clever marketing of the silhouette. A perfect shoe to pick up this summer, we would like to draw your attention to the latest Adidas Samba collection to release. Before delving deeper into its return to popularity.
The Shoe
Expected to release in the first week of May, the Adidas Humanrace Samba “Colors By Pharrell” collection will feature six brand new brightly coloured Adidas Sambas. Releasing globally in Yellow, Orange, Pink, and Lilac, whilst a green pair will be circulated behind closed doors to friends of the producer. The shoes will have a monochromatic look, with each shoe only rocking its given colour. Reminiscent of Pharrell’s “Supercolor” pack which featured several monochrome Adidas Superstars.
This comes shortly after two prior Pharrell x Adidas Samba releases, the Adidas Samba Pharrell Humanrace Black and White, which sported a more traditional look. And is expected to be closely followed by the release of three more monochromatic Sambas, coming in Black, White, and Terracotta.Image: Sneaker News
How we got here
The Adidas Samba benefitted greatly from the recent trend in what has been labelled “Bloke-core.” Referring to the style of football fans as far back as the late 70s, “Bloke-core” as it’s become known thanks to TikTok, began to pick up steam at the end of last year. Rocking retro football tops and vintage Adidas tracksuits, it mimics the style of football casuals. Adidas Samba’s, which have a strong presence within football fan culture, have seen a large increase in popularity thanks to such trends. Now not only amongst football crowds also amongst fashion fans and sneaker fanatics too.
So, with this shift in style towards the Samba, Adidas has been doing everything it can to promote the model. Most notably in its collaboration with designers Wales Bonner, Kith and JJJJound. Whilst the former name has helped the shoe resurface as part of this new wave of fashion-forward bloke-core, the latter two names have been instrumental in popularising several shoes over the past few years. Take the Asics Gel Kayano 14 for example, which started to gain prominence last year thanks to its collaboration with JJJJound. So, whilst the Adidas Samba has already picked up traction, its pushes with collaborators like these that give a shoe’s resurgence mainstream attention.
But it isn’t just the Adidas Sambas that have been gaining popularity, other Adidas Originals like the Adidas Gazelles have become popular in the last year too. Thanks primarily to Adidas’ collaboration with the designer brand Gucci last year. Such a high-profile collaboration between two powerhouses of fashion was sure to draw people’s attention. And given the collection featured over 20 new Adidas Gazelle colourways, it’s easy to see why the silhouette has benefitted so much from this partnership.Image: Sneaker News
What to know
Whilst the Adidas Samba Pharrell Humanrace “Colors By Pharrell” collection won’t be released until the 6th of May; several stylish Sambas are already available to buy and sell on WOOVIN now!

Jerry Lorenzo is finally making his return to sneakers
Image: Sneaker News
Jerry Lorenzo, founder of the streetwear brand Fear of God, joined Adidas’ basketball team in 2020 as a creative and business strategy lead. This came after several high-profile collaborations with brands like Vans and Nike, and Lorenzo’s continued presence in the sneaker space for the best part of a decade. However, we have finally caught a glimpse of his latest endeavour. A Fear of God Adidas basketball shoe is on its way.
What does it look like?
The shoe looks to come in a high-cut sock-like upper, using neoprene around the collar, and a reinforced material around the heel. Three stripes are present on the sides of the shoe, simultaneously acting as a plastic cage to potentially offer some support when playing Basketball. The shoes come with laces and a toggle around the collar. Lastly, rubber encases the sole and extends partially onto the upper. We have currently caught a glimpse of two colourways of the model. The first comes in white with a black toe. And the second in a reverse colourway, dressed in black with an off-white toe and sole.Image: Sneaker NewsWhat we know
News of this release comes shortly after images circulated of a rumoured Fear Of God Adidas basketball shoe in March. However, after Jerry Lorenzo put these rumours to bed, he conceded that the real Fear of God Adidas Basketball shoes would be unveiled alongside his brand’s 8th collection. Premiering at the Hollywood Bowl, with the likes of Ye, Pusha T and Sampha in attendance, Lorenzo announced his latest works to the world on April 19th. And whilst not getting its own grand reveal, the new basketball shoes played a significant role in the runway show Lorenzo put on.This comes shortly after the announcement of Fear of God x Birkenstocks, with a similar clean look but an ultimately very different overall aesthetic. The last true sneakers Fear of God released with another brand was their work with Nike. By creating new silhouettes, and refashioning older models, the collection saw mixed success. With the Nike Air Fear of God 1’s becoming a commercial success. Thanks to its athleisure look and icy blue Air Unit. The co-produced Nike Air Fear of God Moccasins and the Nike Skylon 2 Fear of God whites however were not met with the same level of praise.Image: GQOur thoughts
Fear of God’s latest sneaker for its part seems to continue from where the Air Fear of God 1 left off. With a similarly clean finish, high cut, and choice of materials, the shoe could potentially capture a similar audience. Whilst also bringing in a basketball audience thanks to the practical capabilities the basketball shoe will also possess. And after such a long period of anticipation around Jerry Lorenzo’s next project in sneakers, it’s likely the sneakers will be in high demand.Image: Sneaker NewsWhere will it release?
We are yet to get a release date or any official information about the Adidas Fear of God basketball shoe. However, it will likely release soon alongside the rest of Fear of God’s 8th collection. When it does, you will be able to find them here at WOOVIN , to buy and sell with zero buyer fees.Image: Sneaker NewsA look at one of the wildest releases this year
Image: Sneaker News
A collaboration between the biggest sneaker markers in the game and a trendy new London streetwear brand. Founded by Clint419, Corteiz has been picking up steam in the streetwear scene. To the extent that big names like Drake, Skepta and Central Cee have all taken notice. Therefore, a sneaker collaboration only made sense. But the fact that it is with Nike is surprising, given they filed a lawsuit against the brand in 2021, claiming that Clint’s Corteiz branding was too close to their patented “Cortez” name. The two have clearly worked out their issues and have collaborated on 3 Air Max 95s. The first dropping in London, and then in New York. The last pair’s release in Paris was one of the wildest releases we’ve seen in a while.
Image: Sneaker News
What happened?
The events unravelled similarly to the first two colorways, but this time taking place in Paris. A bus travelled around featuring Nike and Corteiz branding and brandishing the coordinates where the sneakers would become available. Videos have surfaced online of the bus being swarmed by fans. Whilst others show crowds running across the city in attempts to get their hands on the sneaker. The sneakers were sold out of co-branded vans filled with them. This came after a similarly impressive release occurred in London and New York. The latter of which featured a pop-up deli and a huge billboard in Times Square.
Although the sneakers have been extremely popular, the wild nature of their release has raised eyebrows. The release brought back the rush of getting sneakers in person but, also, the potential dangers such havoc could involve. Nike released a widely acclaimed commercial with Corteiz to announce their collaboration. The ad saw Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga hit a full-pitch trick shot. Filmed with basic recording equipment, the commercial was reminiscent of the Nike ads fans have grown up on. But there was an added twist with some London slang that brought the sneaker back to Corteiz’s UK roots. Fans were left impressed at how Clint419 had been granted so much creative control from such a big corporation.

What do you need to know about the sneaker?
The Air Max 95 SP Corteiz Aegean Storm comes in a dark navy-blue leather upper, with a black mesh around the top of the sneaker. Black laces with an attached lace lock, a black tongue and a midsole added to the sleek aesthetic. Corteiz branding comes in the form of lighter-colored embroidery on the toe guard and on the heel. Whilst a simpler offering than many collaborations we have seen, the clean look makes the sneakers very wearable. Perfectly matching the aesthetic of Corteiz’s signature apparel.
The Nike Air Max 95 SP Corteiz Aegean Storm was released on the 15th of April. It’s now available to buy and sell at WOOVIN where we offer the latest sneakers at the best prices.

Early contender for sneaker of the year? The Jarritos x Nike SB Dunk Low
Image: Hypebea
A collaboration between soft drink brand Jarritos and Nike may not have been what we were expecting. But, after the success of 2020’s Ben and Jerry’s Nike SB Dunk, this also doesn’t come as too much of a surprise. Jarritos translates in Spanish to “Little Jugs”, referencing the Mexican tradition of drinking from clay jugs. They are a popular brand of soft drink hailing from Mexico that have since had worldwide success, often featuring in Mexican restaurants in their many brightly colored flavours.
Image: Hypebea
What you need to know
In comparison to the bottles, however, the model will have a much more neutral look. The shoe comes in a white leather base with hemp overlays across the shoe. The swoosh comes in green, matching the outsole save for a touch of orange, which is also present in the stitching on the otherwise white midsole. Nike and Jarritos brandings are present in orange and green on the heel and tongue, and Jarritos’ signature jug is embroidered in green, pouring out an orange drink on the heel of the shoe. The Nike SB Dunk Low Jarritos will also come with three separate lace options: white, orange and green.
Whilst the sneakers have quite a tame look compared to their bottles, the colorful bottles are instead represented on the sneakers in the layer underneath. This is because the model features a wear-away upper. Either by manually using a precision knife or naturally from wearing your kicks, you can uncover an orange leather layer matching the bottle and Jarritos branding on the shoe. This is not the first time such a look has been used on the model though. The SB Dunk was originally made for skateboarding so a wear-away upper that rewards wearers using it for such purposes makes perfect sense.
Such a surprising release is sure to catch people’s attention, but it is the level of detail paid to the sneaker which has kept people interested. Moreover, the hemp overlays offer a more laid-back style that is more wearable on a day-to-day basis than a collaboration as wild as the Nike SB Dunk Low Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Dunky. Let’s just hope this Jarritos collab won’t be as rare.
Image: hypebea
Where and when will it release?
The Nike SB Dunk Low Jarritos releases on May 6th at skateshops and on May 10th at the SNKRS app. After which, you could check out WOOVIN as your one-stop shop for all sneaker needs from trusted sellers.
A pair of Jordans just went for how much!
Image: Business Insider
Air Jordan’s have been sought-after products ever since their first release in 1985. But perhaps never as much as today, in an age of crazy sneaker spending. On the 11th of April, a pair of Air Jordan 13’s were sold by Sotheby’s for $2.2 million. The most spent on a single pair of sneakers ever! The pair, dressed in a bred colorway, were worn by Jordan in game 2 of the 1998 NBA Championships. Which Jordan and the Chicago Bulls would go on to win. The sneakers would then be signed after the game and given to a ball boy, who would pass it on to the previous owner who put it up for auction.
What previously held the title of the most expensive sneaker?
The Air Jordan 13 is by no means the first sneaker to reach seven figures. In 2021, Kanye West’s personal pair of Nike Air Yeezy’s from his 2008 Grammys performance, sold for $1.8 million. Bought by Rares.io, the sneakers put up for auction in 2022, hoping to achieve an estimated $2.5 million price tag. However, in the aftermath of Kanye West’s controversial statements in late 2022, the auction has been halted indefinitely. Whether the owners will see a return on their $1.8 million investment is yet to be seen.
Image: The Guardian
How does this sale compare to past Jordan memorabilia auctions?
Before this month, the most expensive Jordan was a pair of Nike Air Ships, which went for $1.47 million. Although not officially an Air Jordan, they were the sneakers Jordan wore for the first half of his rookie season. But outside of sneakers, Jordan’s most expensive piece of memorabilia was actually a jersey. Worn in the first game of the 1998 series, the jersey sold in 2022 for $10.1 million.
Image: Highsnobiety
And speaking of the Air Jordan 1, the most expensive was a game-worn pair of Chicago’s. Selling for $615,000 in 2020, the sneakers benefitted heavily off the back of the last dance documentary on Netflix. The highly acclaimed documentary following Jordan on his way to his sixth championship took Jordan’s nostalgia to an all-time high. But clearly, the price people were willing to pay to have a piece of Jordan’s story was even higher. This hype has also stuck around, however, hence the Air Jordan 13 becoming the most expensive sneaker ever. Its appearance on Jordan’s feet in the 1998 finals meant it tied into the story of the documentary. And the listing likely also benefitted from the auction coinciding with the release of “Air.” A movie dedicated to Nike’s endeavours to sign Jordan when he was a rookie.
Image: The Washington Post
That said if you’re happy to forgo getting yourself the pair worn by Michael Jordan. The Jordan 13 Bred last released in 2017, and although selling out, have settled around 300 euros on the resale market. A slightly more reasonable price to pay for a bit of MJ magic!
The Air Jordan 1 High will return this month in Celtic colors
Image: SneakerBarDetroit
The Jordan 1 Retro High OG Lucky Green is releasing on April 15th. The second Jordan 1 release of the month is a new green, white and black Jordan 1. Paired with classic color blocking, few things can match the hype a Jordan 1 like this creates. On top for the last few years, Jordan isn’t slowing down their output any time soon. But, if we keep getting sneakers like the upcoming Jordan 1 Lucky Green, it’s hard to complain.
What you need to know
The sneaker comes in a white leather base, with black overlays on the toe guard, around the eyelets and collar. Green detailing is present around the top 2 eyelets on the collar, and on the heel guard. The sole is no different, the midsole covered in white, alongside a green outsole. The silhouette therefore effectively creates a Boston Celtics version of the iconic Jordan 1 Retro High Black Toe. This follows Jordan’s popular formula at the moment: to take popular color blocking from OG pairs and remaster them with new and refreshing colors. In doing so, offering something we know we like, but with enough change to keep us coming back.
This is the second time we have received a “lucky green” Jordan 1 High. The first released as a women’s exclusive, and without the black detailing present on this version. And before that, the pine green Jordan 1s were successful with a similar colorway and a darker shade of green detailing. But the 2023 “Lucky Green” 1s share the most in common with the Jordan 1 High Defining Moments Celtics pair. Featuring the same colorway and hue of green, the only difference is the model. Since the pair released in 2009, before the OG High version of the Air Jordan 1 was created. The main difference comes in the form of Jumpman branding on the tongue and heel. 2023’s version will therefore offer the same colorway but on the more popular OG High version of the Jordan 1.

When will the sneakers become available
The Jordan 1 High Retro Lucky Green releases on April 15th in full family sizing and are now available to buy and sell here at WOOVIN. This is alongside our vast selection of Air Jordan 1s already listed on the site.

CLOT finishes their run of Nike Cortez collaborations in style
Image: KicksOnFire
Hong Kong streetwear label, CLOT, is the latest brand to remix the Nike Cortez, 51 years after its original release. After two previous CLOT x Cortez releases, the collaboration will now take on the most famous Cortez colorway. Nicknamed the “Forrest Gumps,” the red, white and blue Cortez takes on a new life. This time homing in on its utility as a martial arts sneaker, rather than for its intended running shoe purposes.
What you need to know
The sneaker will feature a white leather upper, with a red swoosh and white and blue hits on the sole. The main difference about the sneaker is that it comes in two parts. The first is a standard leather upper attached to a thin outsole. Whilst the second part of the sneaker features a traditional Cortez outsole attached to a very low-cut neoprene bootie. The latter of which features a larger blue swoosh. Each part can function independently, with the bootie doubling up as a slip-on. Or they can be worn together for a more traditional Cortez look.
Laces are present on the leather upper piece, but an adjustable toggle is also available on the bootie. Otherwise, CLOT logos are present on the tongue tabs, and Chinese calligraphy spells out “Kung fu” on the heel tabs.
Image: KicksOnFire
The martial arts theme is something immediately obvious when the sneaker is worn with just the leather upper part. Since the lack of a midsole and retro leather style make it heavily resemble popular martial arts sneakers. The Onitsuka Tiger Tai Chi, for example. Moreover, this was also something emphasised in the previous CLOT release. Featuring black and yellow detailing, it referenced the iconic yellow and black sneakers martial arts icon Bruce Lee would rock.
Image: KicksOnFire
When will the sneaker become available?
The Nike SP CLOT Clotez will become available in the OG Cortex colorway on April 7th. However, until then, CLOT’s other successful collaborations with Nike are already available to buy and sell on WOOVIN now.Image: KicksOnFire
