Our top 3 winter kicks that have just dropped on WOOVIN.
It’s officially the holiday season! As many of us prepare for Christmas or take shelter from the snow or the cold winter weather, the sneakerheads among us are excited for another reason. Traditionally, December is a time of lots of amazing sneaker offerings, and this year has been no different. We’ve picked out three models, already available to buy and sell through our WOOVIN site. All of which stand out to us as early highlights of this winter season.
Jordan 11 Retro DMP Gratitude (2023)
There is no better way to start this list than with this year’s Air Jordan 11 offering. For context, every December, Jordan releases a single Air Jordan 11 High, one of the most popular Air Jordan models. It is regularly the highlight of the year for sneakerheads and Jordan fans alike. This year, the colorway in question is the “Gratitude” Air Jordan 11. First releasing in 2006, the sneakers were part of the Defining Moments pack. The sneaker was a take on the famous “Concord” colorway, which Jordan wore on his way to his 4th championship. However, with added golden details to signify his winning achievement. 17 years later, and 3 years after the other Jordan from the Defining Moments pack got a retro, the Jordan 11 Retro DMP Gratitude has finally hit shelves.

Adidas Fear of God Athletics 1 Basketball Carbon
Having announced their partnership with Jerry Lorenzo in December of 2023, Adidas has finally released their Fear of God collection. A significant figure in the popularization of athleisure, Lorenzo’s latest collection follows a similar theme. But the star of the show is the new Adidas Fear of God Athletics 1 Basketball sneaker. Currently available in a Carbon finish, the sneaker will likely be released in more colorways further down the line. The model’s basketball functionality alongside its stylish silhouette opens itself up to two different markets. And its futuristic design, albeit different from current trends, could be a sign of what’s to come. Especially after the popularity of Fear of God’s Nike collaboration, seeing their initial work with Adidas is no small deal. And to finally have the chance to get the product in our hands is a great feeling.

Nike SB Dunk Low TIGHTBOOTH
For a while now, the Nike SB Dunk has been touted as the next style to fade out. But, whilst the sneaker’s hype has settled since the start of the decade, the Dunk is still here. A perfect example of this is Nike’s latest offering in collaboration with TIGHTBOOTH. A popular Japanese Fashion label. Significant given the popularity of skating in Japan, as well as their skating success, most recently with Yuto Horigome. The model takes inspiration from the night time, with white paneling, featuring a hatched pattern, layered over a black upper. Other notable detailing includes a reflective Nike Swoosh, a dotted pattern on the tongue and orange TIGHTBOOTH branding on the heel of the sneaker and its insole.

Three upcoming sneakers to get excited about before Christmas.
With Christmas fast approaching, brands ramp up their output in time for the spending season. Within all the chaos of Christmas shopping, sometimes some awesome releases can slip through the cracks. But we’ve filtered our feed down to the three sneakers to look out for over the coming week.
Nike Air Alpha Force 88 SP Billie Eilish Fire Red
Hit singer with a cult following, Billie Eilish, is teaming up again with Nike to promote her love of bulky retro sneakers that have come to be synonymous with her aesthetic. After releasing two more traditional colorways in August, Eilish is returning this holiday season with a new Nike Alpha Force, this time coming in a striking “Fire red” colorway. Not a sneaker younger fans will be well aware of, the Alpha Force first debuted in 1988. It’s even been worn by Michael Jordan once between the release of the Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 3. The silhouette is known for its mid-foot strap and its bulky design, a sign of its late 80s release date. But now the model is being reborn in a more fashion-conscious manner. The once high-performance basketball model is no longer seen in such light. Rather, the sneaker has been embraced by the California native singer, taking it from the court to the main stage.

Air Jordan 3 Midnight Navy
Although bearing a resemblance to many classic Air Jordan 3 colorways, the latest Air Jordan 3 Midnight Navy is a brand-new design using the Air Jordan 3 Fire Red’s iconic colorblocking and replacing the red detailing for navy accents. Iconic elephant print decks out the mudguard and the heel counter, whilst perforated grey leather is present on the bottom half of the tongue and underneath the eyelets. Creating a subtle but stylish silhouette that would work well in almost any outfit. Especially with the Air Jordan 11 “Gratitude” release dominating headlines, these Air Jordan 3s are slipping under the radar. But an Air Jordan 3, especially given its thick padding, is always a great option for the winter months.

New Balance 580 Levi’s
Last, but not least, long-time collaborators, New Balance, and Levi’s, have teamed up again to continue their hot streak. This time tasked with updating the New Balance MT580, a sneaker which made a strong comeback over the last year. Two new colorways are hitting shelves this week, both featuring Levi’s denim on the toe box and the collar. Alongside this is an otherwise neutral color upper, with bright highlights dotted around the sneaker. The effect is a fashionable everyday sneaker with an outdoorsy aesthetic. This is a result of its Marin County mountains inspiration, and its present mountain biking culture.
