The shoe comes in a white leather base with blue detailing across the leather overlays around the toe and midfoot sections of the model. And a cement grey dresses the collar and heelcounter overlays. The upper is paired with a matching white midsole and cement greyoutsole, and Nike branding is dotted around the model in blue.
Image: HypebeastKeeping the colorway simple and yet familiar, the model is set to honour the 35thanniversary of the Air Jordan 3. It does so by taking the “True Blue” colorway that is sopopular on the Air Jordan 3 and applying it to the Air Jordan 1. This uses a familiar processthat Jordan has relied on over the last few years. To create new colorways whilst stillcashing in on the same nostalgia, Jordan has been taking popular colorways from one modeland applying them to another. Take for example the Air Jordan 6 “Hare” taking on the“Hare” colorway that was popularised on the Air Jordan 7. This particular release remainssignificant, however, because it’s much less usual for Jordan to use such a method on the AirJordan 1 and 3 – models that have seen plenty of success with new and creative colorwaychoices.Keeping the retro theme, the model will also come in a shape most reminiscent of the OG1985 Air Jordan 1’s rather than the modified shape of more recent Air Jordan retros. This hasbeen a popular decision after the success of the 1985 Georgetown Air Jordan 1s, a shoe thatalso featured blue and grey detailing when it was released back in 2022.
