New Balance 550 Aime Leon Dore White Red
One of the most famous shoes of the last few years is the New Balance 550, which started gaining popularity, especially in New York, after it collaborated with Aime Leon Dore. A clothing brand and retail store also based in New York, the red and white colorway of the New Balance 550 Aime Leon Dore White Red stands out due to its its retro look which matches the 80’s basketball silhouette. And the sail-colored sole adds an aged look, fully leaving into the retro theme.

Last on our list is no collaboration but instead a classic silhouette, produced in Europe, in New Balance’s UK factory. The New Balance 991 Made in UK Navy Sand is a beautiful running model, with a streamlined build, and high-quality materials, that match New Balance’s brand identity perfectly. And its production in the UK, in New Balance’s Flimby factory, assures that you’re getting a very well-made product. The only downside to these releases can sometimes be the steep pricing, but pairs of the Navy sand 991’s are available now at WOOVIN for well below retail!
What you need to know about the latest Air Jordan 1 Low Travis Scott collaboration
After a slew of high-profile Travis Scott collaborations, the first Nike Travis Scott of 2023 has been revealed, taking shape as a new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Low. With it likely being one of the biggest releases so far this year, here is everything you need to know in preparation for its release.
Image: Hypebeast
Everything you need to know
The Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Travis Scott Olive will come in a black suede base, with off-white leather overlays. But the colorway gets its name from the olive nubuck backwards swoosh. Olive detailing also features on the outsole, alongside a sail midsole. And the shoes come with a choice of 3 pairs of laces, coming in olive, red and white.
The model is particularly interesting because of its call-backs and similarities with the other Travis Scott collaborations. For example, the olive tone has been used a couple of times by Scott, most notably on his first Air Jordan 6 collaboration. And the white overlays are reminiscent of the Fragment x Travis Scott High and Reverse Mocha Low pairs which were released in the last two years. Even the red laces are a nice detail which was also present on the first Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 High.
Image: Hypebeast
Whilst this is the 5th Jordan 1 Low Travis Scott has released, it’s understandable given the sustained hype of these releases. Not far off the insanely popular Nike Dunk low silhouette, but with all the history of the Air Jordan line, the Air Jordan 1 Low has even been described by Kevin Durant as the best Jordan ever. And Travis Scott’s editions are the pinnacles of the model.

When and where will it be available?
The Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Travis Scott Olive is expected to be a women’s exclusive, but a full-size run means almost everyone who would like a pair will be able to find a pair in their size. They are expected to release on the 26th of April but shall shortly afterwards become available on the WOOVIN website. Where you can pick them up from several trusted sellers, without any buyer fees.
A look ahead to the Nike Air Force 1 Low SP AMBUSH Phantom and Black
Image: Sole Retriever
Popular clothing brand Ambush has worked with Nike several times over the last few years, on the Nike Air Adjust Force as well as on the Nike Dunk. But the brands latest creation has taken on the Air Force 1, adding a simple yet futuristic take to the sneaker which is bound to grab people’s attention and dominate sneaker headlines in the latter half of February 2023.
What you need to know
A couple of colorways of this Nike Air Force 1 creation have been released in blue and yellow, and green and yellow colorways. But next month we will see the collaboration take on much more traditional colors, coming in black with a white swoosh and white with a black swoosh. Referred to as the Phantom and Black colorways of the model. Most notably, the otherwise leather models feature plastic Swooshes, which extend past the heel of the sneaker – similar to the swooshes on the Ambush Nike Dunk and more recently the Nike LeBron 20. Plastic overlays are also present on the heel of the shoe, and Nike and Ambush’s branding is present on the heel and tongue tab of the sneakers. The Deubrés have also got a futuristic update, swapping out their metal frame for 3D-printed AF1 branding.

Black and white are by far the most popular colors of the Air Force 1, particularly with the all-white Air Force 1 being the standout colorway of the model, outshining all others. And, whilst the all-black pairs have gained a reputation for being worn by criminals and all-around mischievous people, their success and popularity are undeniable. Whilst the previous color-filled Air Force 1s from Ambush fitted their avant-garde style, it’s ultimately the white and black pairs which we shall look to, to find out the full potential of the model.

When and where will it be available?
The Nike Air Force 1 Low SP AMBUSH Phantom and Black colorways will be available from February 28th, coming in a matching black and white Ambush branded box. Expect the pairs to become available on WOOVIN soon after, where you can buy shoes free of all hassle and buyer fees.

Jordan 1 Retro High Dior
Released in 2020, this Jordan 1 Retro High Dior was released in collaboration with designer brand Dior alongside a low-top pair, retailing for $2000, and $1500 respectively. Thanks to its high-end materials and only 8,000 pairs of the model being available to the public, this is the most expensive shoe on the list. And perhaps the most famous one too, as its release made mainstream news.

Nike Air Yeezy 2 Solar Red
Before Kanye West’s saga with Adidas and recent comments, he worked with Nike from 2009 to 2014 to make the Nike Air Yeezy line. He released two models, the latter of which features a unique silhouette and a range of materials. A cross between West’s designer taste and love of basketball sneakers, the Nike Air Yeezy 2 Solar Red are available on WOOVIN now.

Louis Vuitton Nike Air Force 1 Low by Virgil Abloh White Green
The only shoe on this list to release last year, the Louis Vuitton Nike Air Force 1 Low by Virgil Abloh White Green shares a special place in fans’ hearts, as it was one of Abloh’s last projects before his untimely death. But it was also a one-of-a-kind collaboration between two giant, yet polar opposite fashion brands. Such a collab is a key part of Virgil Abloh’s legacy, who worked extensively with both brands. And so, as well as its limited release and materials, it’s quickly become a grail for many fans of the designer.

Jordan 1 Retro High Off-White Chicago
Another Virgil Abloh creation. When Abloh released his first collection of shoes with Nike in 2017, named “The Ten,” his reworked Jordan 1 Retro High Off-White Chicago was the standout model. Although it has since been released in several colorways, the classic Chicago colorway remains the most popular due to its classic Bulls colors and homage to the Air Jordan line with a high-fashion twist.

Nike SB Dunk Low Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Dunky (F&F Packaging)
Ending this list is the hilarious and unexpected collaboration between ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s and Nike. The Nike SB Dunk Low Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Dunky (F&F Packaging) features faux cow fur on the upper and a dripping Nike swoosh, taking Nike back to the 2000s when the SB Dunk would often be used for their more outlandish ideas. More specifically though, you can get the friends and family pair on WOOVIN which, as well as being much more limited, came with an ice cream tub-inspired box, an extra piece of memorabilia for avid collectors.
Looking ahead to the Air Jordan 1 Retro High “True Blue”
Image: HypebeastAn Air Jordan 1 release will always be a big deal but, when it’s a high-cut version of a muchbeloved Air Jordan colorway, it becomes a huge deal. One of the biggest releases so far thisyear, this is what you need to know about the “True Blue” Air Jordan 1’s.What you need to know
The shoe comes in a white leather base with blue detailing across the leather overlays around the toe and midfoot sections of the model. And a cement grey dresses the collar and heelcounter overlays. The upper is paired with a matching white midsole and cement greyoutsole, and Nike branding is dotted around the model in blue.Image: HypebeastKeeping the colorway simple and yet familiar, the model is set to honour the 35thanniversary of the Air Jordan 3. It does so by taking the “True Blue” colorway that is sopopular on the Air Jordan 3 and applying it to the Air Jordan 1. This uses a familiar processthat Jordan has relied on over the last few years. To create new colorways whilst stillcashing in on the same nostalgia, Jordan has been taking popular colorways from one modeland applying them to another. Take for example the Air Jordan 6 “Hare” taking on the“Hare” colorway that was popularised on the Air Jordan 7. This particular release remainssignificant, however, because it’s much less usual for Jordan to use such a method on the AirJordan 1 and 3 – models that have seen plenty of success with new and creative colorwaychoices.Keeping the retro theme, the model will also come in a shape most reminiscent of the OG1985 Air Jordan 1’s rather than the modified shape of more recent Air Jordan retros. This hasbeen a popular decision after the success of the 1985 Georgetown Air Jordan 1s, a shoe thatalso featured blue and grey detailing when it was released back in 2022.Image: HypebeastWhen and where will it be released?
Adult and Grade School sizing. But, to save yourself the hassle, if you’re interested ingrabbing yourself a pair, check out WOOVIN for all your sneaker needs. The Air Jordan 23 will be returning to celebrate the Lunar New Year
Image: Sole Retriever
As is tradition for sneaker brands these days, Jordan brand are releasing a collection of shoes to celebrate the Lunar New Year. But what is less ordinary is Jordan’s choice to release their 2008 model, the Air Jordan 23, in a brand-new colorway.
Excluding collaborations with Titan22 and Trophy Room, this is the first Air Jordan 23 to release since its initial run. And whilst it’s a well-respected Air Jordan, it’s not a particularly well-known Air Jordan. Particularly since Michael Jordan had long since retired by the time they were released. Hence why we are so excited to get another release of the model in the coming weeks. Granted this isn’t an OG retro. But if the model is now in Jordans sneaker rotation for an event like the Lunar New Year, hopefully this is a sign of bigger things to come.

What you need to know
The shoes come in an all-leather upper, with the base in white and a soft mint color on the main overlay and the mudguard. Red markings are present on the tongue and the insole. These are inspired by the Hong Bao, or red envelopes, which are often handed out to one another to celebrate the new year. With 2023 being the year of the rabbit, the shoes will also feature a rabbit motif on the inside of the tongue, replacing Jordan’s fingerprint which usually takes up this spot. Instead, Jordan’s mark is present in the form of his signature written in gold across the mudguard, matching other gold detailing across the shoe. Lastly, the sole features a transparent plastic casing around the midsole and a grey outsole.

When and where will it be available?
The shoe is expected to be released in the coming weeks, potentially as a region exclusive. It shall also be releasing alongside new colorways of the Luka 1, Legacy 312, 23/7, Series 0.5 and a limited run of a lunar new year Air Jordan 1 Low. But, if you are interested in any of these pairs, save yourself the hassle and wait for them to become available on WOOVIN to avoid all buyer fees.
Starting the year off with a bang! The Jordan 9 Retro Light Olive
Image: Sneaker News
The Jordan 9 Retro Light Olive shall grace sneaker shelves this January, taking clear inspiration from the Jordan 9 OG Olive. The latter being released in 1993, what better way to celebrate its 30th anniversary than bringing it back with an updated look? Moreover, the last time we saw the model was in 2012, so fans have had plenty of time to get excited for a return.
What you need to know
The colorway comes in a black leather upper with a light brown mudguard circling the base of the upper and scaling up to the collar. The sole also comes in black, whilst Jumpman branding on the sole, heel and tongue comes in royal blue.
Back in the day, collectors used to cover the olive mudguard on the original pair with a black sharpie. In doing so, creating more of a Bred colorway. But these days the light olive detailing suits current trends, with earthy tones in style. In part, thanks to the desert-themed releases from Travis Scott we have seen over the last few years.
Image: Sneaker News
The model differs from the original Air Jordan 9 Olive primarily by swapping the traditional olive mudguard for a lighter olive colour, hence the name. But also, the branding comes in blue as opposed to red on the originals. This is similar to other Jordan colorways, such as the Jordan 14 Retro White Hyper Royal, which also swapped the red detailing on the Jordan 14 Candy Cane for blue detailing.
The silhouette of the Jordan 9 is ultimately a basketball sneaker in line with the other Air Jordans. But it takes on a heavy baseball cleat influence to match Jordan’s career change to minor league baseball at the time. As a result, Penny Hardaway wore the model on the hardcourt whilst MJ wore a pair on the baseball diamond, with the sole swapped out for cleats. Although not to everyone’s taste, the baseball influence gave the Jordan 9 a unique look to other shoes at the time. Immortalizing Jordans career change forever by way of its impact on his sneakers.

When and where will it be available?
The model will be released on the 7th of January, but check out WOOVIN for the best deals, where they should become available soon after.
